I've been shamed into fiddling about with my website. It's years old and long overdue for an update. Just wondered if y'all could give an opinion on the new title page, if it works.

Fraid not Mandie. Not sure whats happened there. You've deleted the original photos from the webpage, then you've changed the location and reuploaded them from the new location. Hmmmmm. Are the files saved as jpeg files? If you are using PSP as a photoeditor, they may have saved as PaintShop files. Maybe NTL doesnt support the file type. Most however, will support jpegs Read it again, I'm sure I made a point in there somewhere. | |||

Carol, a lot of them, like geocities, are really simple to use. Most carry advertising though. Don't be put off by this, Mandie just has softwear I'm unfamiliar with - Phil or Ian would fix this problems in a few seconds flat without sounding remotely complicated. Oh no Carol, definitely don't be put off. It is really quite easy to do, it's just not reading gif files on here. Mandie - If you want to 'try out' a web page on a few people (like us!) it's usually easiest to put it on your site in a temporary location, or with a temporary page name (eg: test.html), then post the link here. Thanks Kelly, Phil I've been trying to put it on my site all evening, but it won't upload for some reason. I did the site a few years ago for a college project and have forgotten most things but it's all coming back slowly. I use ntl terrapin. Hmmn. According to the help here: http://bbplus.ntlworld.com/help/services/ntlworldftp.php there is a fee that needs to be paid after 30 days to continue using this software (Terrapin). I rekon that's just hogwash, and you would be better off using something else (like ws_ftp) - have a look at the forums on NTL hell for various instructions: http://forums.ntlhell.co.uk/ HTH, Phil. I was bored so I fiddled with the Wanado sitebuilder for about 2 minutes.
